How does it feel to be in a heatwave?

Today I red that the Chicago Marathon was cancelled yesterday because of a heatwave. 1 person died and more than 350 were hospitalized – quite a sad story! The temperatures reached 31,6 degrees celsius, which was the highest temperature ever recorded on the 7th of October in Chicago. When I read about such an incident, I find it very hard to imagine how it must be to be in the middle of a heatwave because of the summer (…or whatever we should call it), we have just experienced here in Denmark.
