Maroubra’s thunder waves
June 9th, 2007 by Anne
Maroubra, favourite playground for many of Sydney’s surfers due to its windy climate and giant waves. Maroubra means “thunder” in local aboriginal dialect - the name stems from the sound of hard surf hitting the rocks.
