Take the plunge
March 15th, 2007 by Nadja
Yesterday the sun was shining bright and it was a blessing that my job for the day was to go to ‘Louisiana - Museum of Modern Art’ to interview the director.
The setting of the museum is spectacular - right on the seaside, overlooking the waves and the Swedish coast. A ‘daylight museum’ where the art, architecture and waves outside the large windows intertwine.
In the gallery called “The viewpoint” the art on display is the everchanging wavy view through the large windows. And the only art manufactured by man - and not by nature - is this balance created by the Scandinavian Art-duo Elmgreen and Dragset in 1997.
The tip cuts through the glass - inviting the visitors to take a mental plunge.
