A wave hit me!
February 18th, 2007 by v.navarro
A wave snuck up on me while reading the NY Times Book Review,
A thought so generous, I wish I had written it myself. Or, let me be honest, could live them myself.
“Hope, forgiveness — these are not just moral actions. They are enlargements of the mind. Without them, you remain in the tunnel of the self.”
Kathryn Harrison, Lives in the Arts, NY Times Sunday Book Review Feb. 18th.

I love when waves and brainwaves hit me while reading the newspaper.
Today I spent six (!) hours reading trough a large pile of newspapers that had compiled through the past week - and while reading, sipping coffee and turning the pages new waves and undercurrents kept hitting me.
I agree with you that the quote from the NY Sunday Times has great wave- and brainwave-potential. Hoping and forgiving are essensial when crafting virtues, minds and selves.
