One with the cosmos?

In another totally unrelated thread…if humans are part of the cosmos, when and how do we feel most part of it? Scientists confirm that something happens to brain waves when we fall asleep. Jung says our dreams can be a guide to our place in the cosmos. Kiefer maps it out in his paintings. Me? Your brain wave theme made me wonder if our brain waves become one with larger waves, somehow connecting us with the cosmos, making contact when we fall asleep.
Bodega Bay
Sleep starts like a wild river
riding down the mountain,
thoughts from the day,
shooting rapids,
unstoppable,
pulling you under until
the river banks broaden,
and the currents slow
as your brain waves slip
into the slumbering sea.

Hmmmm…what a perfect post to discover right before going to bed. I’ll now give in to my ripples of sleepiness and leave it up to my brain to form waves of sleep and brainwaves of dreams…
