Melikes as well, for the very same reasons. Because waves reenergize me by their constant-ness, by their rocking me like a giant womb-like cradle, the Universal Mother (<a href="http://www.answers.com/topic/oceanic-feeling" rel="nofollow">very Freudian - "oceanic feeling" - indeed</a>.

By achieving an oceanic-like feeling (spiritual one-ness with the universe), waves bring us back to our primal and yet higher Selves and thus inspire us to never cease exploration. That is why we here playfully search for patterns, that is why we associate and why we tend to leave the obvious, the (almost) tangible, real waves.
May they never be forgotten.

We salute Thee, O mighty waves of the Oceans!

Ahhhh - me like very much :-) And you're right. In our eagerness to explore the many wavy patterns and metaphors the obvious reason for our choice of theme disappered... we love the ocean, the waves, the water.

Thank you for reminding us...
